Don’t get scammed
by phony ticketing sites!
Scammers know you can’t wait to rock out with your favorite artist at the Clyde, so they’ll use every trick in the book to target you when purchasing a ticket and we want to protect you and your wallet from bad actors.
If you’re ever uncertain about a sellers legitimacy, call the Clyde Box Office or stop by and purchase your tickets in person with zero fees.
Buying online is easy and convenient, just be sure to pay attention to these red flags before clicking “purchase”:
Weird URLs
The Clyde Theatre partners with eTix as our official online ticket provider. Only click eTix ticket links from ClydeTheatre.com or the Clyde Theatre’s official social pages.
Clyde social posts will often include a shortened URL that begins with thecly.de/. These links are legitimate and safe.
But beware! Scammers love targeting people in the comments of show announcements. These comments usually feature a fake story about a scheduling conflict, offering up their tickets for sale. Don’t fall for it. Never purchase tickets online from people you don’t know.
Unsolicited Messages
Scammers impersonating our page might respond to your comment or send you an unsolicited personal message asking you to contact them or click a link. Be sure to check the profile and confirm it’s us before clicking any links or responding!
We will never ask you for financial information through a social media channel.
If you message us first, you may receive an automated message directing you to our FAQ page. This link is legitimate and safe.
Prices Seem Too High or Too Low
When a ticket price appears too good to be true, it probably is. If you see tickets selling for pennies, you’re not snagging the deal of the century. You’re falling for a scam.
Scammers might also charge exorbitant rates for their tickets, claiming that these seats are the only tickets available. If the scammer is demanding thousands of dollars for a seat, run away!
I Can’t Pick My Seat for a Reserved Seating Show
For shows with reserved seating, the Clyde allows customers to choose “best available” seating or from options on a seating chart.
If you don’t see this option for a reserved seating show, you might be buying from an unofficial third-party website. The Clyde cannot guarantee the legitimacy of third-party vendors and reserves the right to refuse these tickets, even if the vendor appears to guarantee entry.
General Admission shows are standing room only, but accessible seating and premier experience seating upgrades are available. So, if you buy through an official eTix link, you should still have an option to choose which type of ticket you’re purchasing.
Remember, not all ticket links are created equal.
If you’re not buying at ClydeTheatre.com or through our box office, you’re rolling the dice.
