Originally opened on April 19, 1951, the Clyde Theatre was commissioned by Helen Quimby in honor of her husband and designed by architect A.M. Strauss in a Moderne Art Deco style. Following a $9 million renovation in 2017 and 2018, the venue reopened in May 2018 with modern upgrades while preserving its historic character, including the iconic 60-foot spire and marquee. Today, the Clyde Theatre is a premier live music venue in Fort Wayne, offering flexible event spaces, a 2,150-capacity main hall, in-house audio/visual support, on-site parking, and exceptional acoustics for concerts, corporate events, weddings, fundraisers, and private celebrations.
